AIGA ATL Portfolio Review

Portfolio Center recently hosted students from the seven local chapters of AIGA ATL for the AIGA Atlanta Student Portfolio Review. The all-day event was sponsored by Sam Flax, Binders, and Allegra Printing.
To kick off the morning, students enjoyed two workshops: “How to Interview & Get the Job,” presented by Caden Noble, of Expressions Theatre, and “The Ubiquitous Portfolio,” presented by Hank Richardson, president of Portfolio Center. After the workshops, lunch was provided, and then the review proper got underway.
Among the agencies and firms represented were Unboundary, Iconologic, Turner, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, WestWayne Advertising, Tula Communications, United Way, Brown Bag Marketing, and The Jones Group. These reviewers were generous with their time and expertise, giving back to the design community in a way that will no doubt reverberate far into the future.
Participant John Falkiewicz expressed the general sentiment: “One of the best things about the review was that the professionals were just as excited to see and hear about the work as we were to present it." Indeed, so many passionate top creatives interacting with eager students made the occasion an inspiring one for everyone involved and a great success for AIGA.
