If you don’t know the terms – furniture, composing stick, galley proof – just ask one of the Portfolio Center students who visited Hatch Show Print in Nashville this past weekend and learned about the arrangement of language and how typography and movable type led us to our digital systems of today. 

Embracing the art of typography, the content of music, an understanding of preservation through production, and learning about the nineteenth-century vernacular sources that define our new century.
