Places to Explore

Edward DeBono, perhaps the leading expert on creativity in the world (and not just in our areas, but in the largest sense of the word), writes:

Thank goodness the brain is designed to be uncreative. With eleven items of clothing to put on there would be 39,916,800 ways of getting dressed. The brain is designed to make patterns, to use them and to stick to them. That is why we can get dressed, eat breakfast, cross the road, and do more or less useful work when we get to the office. Creativity, concept formation and all the wonderful aspects of the brain are nothing to do with these established patterns: they arise from the brain’s defects as an information system.

Isn’t it amazing how the defects define us all… not otherwise? Intuitive eclecticism as a background for the power of creative reasoning is like thriving on chaos, but that is what creative people do and are… the logic of suggesting something that may be and then reaching out to explore it… the internet being such a prime tool that lets us act on what is probable, instead of what’s certain… We’re creative explorers. Things come to us that are obscure and then they become things that are interwoven. The exploration so wonderfully allows us to exercise and nourish our minds—to realize 1 +1 (can) = 3…

The artist Romare Bearden imagined it’s like “putting something over something else.” Quilting and memories. Perhaps you find yourself discovering and playing, the highest expression in a soul. Web sites have become the threads of our interconnectedness. Here are some that might be relevant to your interests, and they are pretty cool (by the way if you have some of your own you’d like to share add’em in a comment):
