The illustration program at Portfolio Center is five parts technique for every one part concept. It is founded on an in-depth study of tools, color, and media, with the focus on helping students discover their own voices.

You will learn technique from some of the best-known illustrators in the business. But as you establish proficiency, you will also collaborate with art directors and graphic designers to experience what it is like to work in a professional setting with a real client.

Then, as you approach the end of your eight-quarter tenure, we will work with you to craft a strategy for establishing your career.
